Admission process for MBA 2023-24 (Counselling for MBA started)
Aspiring candidates are requested to read the Admission rules published on http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba from time to time.
For all types of candidates including minorities aspiring for admission under CAP seats, it is mandatory to get registered and get documents verified and confirmed at Admission Facilitation Centers notified by DTE, Maharashtra by paying prescribe fees.
For candidates aspiring for admission for Institutional quota and vacant seats after CAP, it is a prerequisite and mandatory to get documents verified and confirmed at facilitation centers by paying prescribed fees.
Only those candidates who have verified and confirmed documents at facilitation centers and having CAP Merit number shall be eligible for admission for all types of seats / quota.
Admission Counselling for Institutional Level Seats (ILS) has commenced.
Students seeking admission for ILS quota must possess valid entrance examination score of any one of the MHRD approved tests, namely, MH-CET (2023), CAT (2022), CMAT (2023), ATMA (2023), or XAT (2023) at the time of admission counselling rounds.
Eligibility
Candidate clearing MH-CET (2023), CAT (2022), CMAT (2023), ATMA (2023), or XAT (2023) can apply for admissions for the Academic Year 2023-24.
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed minimum three year duration Bachelors Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging of Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent.

Following are the rules for Admission to Institute Level Seats and Probable Vacant Seats as prescribed by DTE, Govt. Of Maharashtra
The Director or Principal of the institution shall carry out the admissions for these seats in the following manner:
Admissions shall be made in a transparent manner and strictly as per the Inter-Se-Merit of the Candidates who have applied to the Competent Authority for verification of documents and then to the Institution.
Information brochure or prospectus of the Institution which specifies rules of admission should be published well before the commencement of the process of admission. All the information in the brochures should also be displayed on the Institution’s website.
Institution shall invite applications by notifying schedule of admission and the number of seats in each course to be filled by the institution, by advertisement on the website of the institution and also on the Website of the Competent Authority by paying the charges as decided by the Competent Authority.
Aspiring Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as notified by the Government and specified by the appropriate authority, from time to time, shall apply to the Principal or Director of the respective institution for admission at the Institution level.
Provided that, where the appropriate authority specifies that such admissions shall be based on the basis of CET, in that case the Institutional quota shall be filled on the basis of Inter-Se-Merit prepared by following the procedure specified in 8(4)
The institution shall prepare and display the Inter-Se merit lists of the Candidates to be filled in at the institution level, in the Institutional Quota and Supernumerary Quota of OCI / PIO, Foreign National, Children’s of Indian workers in Gulf Countries along with the vacant seats after CAP, on the notice board and shall publish the same on the website of the institution.
The Minority or Non-Minority institution intending to surrender the Institutional Quota (in part or full) of specified courses to the CAP shall communicate two days before the display of seat matrix of each CAP Round and the same shall be allotted as per the rules of CAP.
All the admissions and cancellations shall be updated instantly through online system.
If any CAP seat remains or becomes vacant after the CAP Rounds then the same shall be filled in by the Candidate from the same Category for which it was earmarked during the CAP. Further if the seats remain vacant then the seats shall be filled on the basis of Inter-Se-Merit of the applicant.
Institute Level Bond
These admissions shall be made at the institute level by inter se merit from among the candidates appeared in the General Merit List and the list of registered and eligible candidate declared by Competent Authority. And admissions for this round will be as per reference rule no.10.1 as applicable.

The fees are to be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Cost and Management Studies & Research” & payable at Pune.

Cancellation of admission and refund of fees:
Cancellation of admission and refund of fee will be applicable as prescribed from time to time by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State for the respective Academic Year.
