Parkhi Seminar : “Futuristic Finance: Technology and Human Intervention” Prof. Pramod Parkhi Centre for Banking, Finance & Insurance organized the 10th Inter-Collegiate Research Paper Competition on, “November, 2023. The seminar started by lightening of the lamp ceremony. Chief Guest ,Kedar Dixit, Senior VP Finance and CFO, Bharat Forge, Director General-Dr. Ashok Joshi, Director-Dr. Aparna Tembulkar, Dean UG-Dr. Sunita Joshi, Parkhi Chairman Prof. Devaki Jain inaugurated the session. Dr. Satish Inamdar( Dean PGP), Dr. Vikas Peshave (Deputy Director), Prof. Sahil Shaha, Prof. Tushar Halbe, Dr, Rupali Gupte and Prof. Nilaya Murthy the patrons and organising committee members, teaching faculties, participants, students were present for the inaugural session. Dr. Ashok Joshi presented the opening remarks on the theme of futuristic finance, He spoke on the changing scenario of the finance function with the innovation in technology. The young minds have an opportunity today to explore new technological gadgets and platforms with the knowledge base for futuristic finance. Prof. Devaki Jain briefed about the purpose of the research paper competition-‘Parkhi Seminar’ and the relevance of the theme in this changing digital world. Mr.Kedar Dixit emphasized on the importance of human intervention in the technology driven futuristic finance. Though, the technology has many advantages, but there is other side too. The cyber security aspect, digital frauds, etc. are the challenges for the financial companies. The technological tools with human intervention definitely will lead the path ahead. Dr. Aparna Tembulkar expressed vote of thanks for the inagural session.The paper presentations were divided into two tracks. In all, fourteen colleges, 31 presentations and 55 participants participated in the ‘Parkhi; seminar. The judges panel included, Dr. Sanjay Kandalgaonkar and Dr. Satish Inamdar for ‘Track I’, while Dr. Mrugakshi Rajhans and Dr. Vikas Peshave for ‘Track II’.The paper presenters were evaluated on the parameters of content of paper, presentation of paper, communication, response to Question & answer. The participants presented papers on varied topics with the integration of finance and digitization.Pranav Urankar from AISSMS college Pune won the first prize, Urja Samwani from NMIMS, Mumbai secured the second prize and the third prize was divided between Samruddhi Zodge. BMS Student of IndSearch and MBA students, Akansha Sakhare & Dhanashree Sapree. At the closure of the seminar, prof, Nilaya Murthy presented vote of thanks.
