UGC committees Visit to IndSearch

IndSearch was established in 1973 by a group of academicians and professionals, initially as a research Institute involved in research projects for many governmental agencies and became recognized research Institute of University of Pune in 1981. Later in 1986 teaching programme started with PGDBM. Over the years the Institute has performed very well and it has a very good reputation in the University and students’ circles.

With this strong academic background and enviable reputation, the Institute decided to approach UGC for getting autonomous status mainly because all the stake holders associated with this Institute strongly felt the need for implementation of global trends in the teaching learning process through autonomy. Similarly, signing MoUs with international institutes / Universities will be facilitated if the Institute gets Autonomy from UGC.

The expert committee of University Grant Commission visited IndSearch on 14 th and 15 th February 2007. The objective of Committee was to conferment of autonomous status to IndSearch.

The committee consists of:
1. Dr Sevagapadian
2. Prof Iilyas Hassain
3. Dr (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal
