SEMINAR ON HRM :
NEW AGENDA TOWARDS BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
at National Film Archives of India (NFAI) Auditorium, Pune

A one day Seminar – 'HRM – New Agenda towards Business Partnership' was organized by IndSearch on 20th January 2006, at the Auditorium of the National Film Archives of India, Prabhat Road, Pune.
Mr. Abhay Nalawade, Director, Chiron Lasting Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mr. P. Rajgopalan, General Manager (HR) - Sandvik Asia Ltd. & Mr. Sham Bhagwat, General Manager (Capability Development) - Cummins India Ltd., shared their experiences about HR practices in their respective organizations.
The seminar provided an opportunity for students to interact with industry delegates. On this occasion, students made presentations on various issues challenging HR professionals. Five groups of students made their presentations on following HR related issues:

  • Evolving performance appraisal culture through a variable pay system – A tool to motivate and recognize high performance
  • Outsourcing the HRM function – A boon or a bane
  • Emerging role of HRM in IT
  • Managing the organizational rebuilding after VRS – Challenges, threats and opportunities to HRM professionals
  • Mergers and acquisitions – An HR perspective

A panel comprising of Prof. R. Chakraborty, Dr. S. S. Gunjal & Mr. Tushar Halbe adjudged aforesaid presentations.

Prof. Baishali Mandal, Faculty IT - IndSearch, gave the vote of thanks.
