The first ever meet, in Mumbai, of Indsearch Ex-students (INDEX) took place on 26th dec 06 at VJTI Matunga. Dr.Ashok Joshi, Director of IndSearch (Pune) chaired the meeting.

The Meeting was attended by Shibani, Parul, Kunal, Rajeev, Aneila and Dr. Sadanand Date, besides two current research students (Manisha and  Jaideep).

The Ex-students fired with sincere passion for IndSearch, freely exchanged ideas for popularizing IndSearch in Mumbai corporate circles. The main points were:

1.     IndSearch must organize with adequate publicity seminars, fests etc in Mumbai 
2.  Ex-students should mentor the present students in such events and there must be a      constant dialogue between IndSearch and the Ex-IndSearchians for organizing these      events.
3. All avenues for associating the Corporates in these activities must be explored      including     sponsorship, delegates, key speakers.
4. The visibility so promoted will definitely help the placement of existing as well as      future students.
5.  Placement activities in IndSearch should be unified under one command with a single      point of contact for the industry to interact.
6.  Ex-students networks like intra batch sites should liaise with IndSearch and share      their database with IndSearch.

Responding to this, Dr. Joshi expressed appreciation of the Ex-students' enthusiasm in promoting IndSearch’s image in Mumbai and around. He assured full cooperation by the Institute. He also suggested organizing public lectures by eminent speakers under the aegis of IndSearch and conducting executive development programs for industry. He further gave details about the foreign collaborations entered into by IndSearch to offer joint management courses and for student exchange. Stating that IndSearch would soon become an autonomous institution, he delineated the expansion plans afoot in the new campus sites in Pune.
